BORN A CHAMPION: The Master Strategy for Maximum Health and Lasting Success.
New Nuts-and-Bolts Handbook for Restoring Health and Maximum Wellness By Three-Time Chiropractor of the Year Dr. David Yachter
A bottomline “nuts and bolts” handbook is now available, designed to first restore people to normal health and then onward to maximum wellness and longevity, in the face of a population that is overmedicated, undernourished with overprocessed foods, and underexercised.
BORN A CHAMPION: The Master Strategy for Maximum Health and Lasting Success [Outskirts Press.com, 145 pp] is a blueprint for optimum health, a contrarian view opposed to those of today’s medical norms which the author contends reflect a greed-driven pharmaceutical industry, medical doctors who are virtually ensnared by pharmaceutical and health insurance industry domination, a non-health conscious corporate food industry flooding the market with products that are over processed with refined carbohydrates, sugar and hydrogenated fats, and an under exercised population.
Dr. Yachter is a South Florida chiropractor and wellness expert, voted the Chiropractor of the Year in 1998, 2006 and 2007. With 35,000 patient visits annually, he has restored people back to health by moving them away from excessive medications and processed foods into a more natural approach to wellness. He has been a health, injury and performance consultant to the Miami Dolphins football team, Florida Marlins baseball team, and companies including American Airlines, Delta Airlines and Toys R Us.
“I wrote this book,” says Dr. Yachter, “because I see the majority of people walking around today who are suffering on medications for degenerative diseases which are 70-85% correctable with proper lifestyle changes. I believe that ANYONE who knows the truth and can deliver a solution to this ‘chemical holocaust’ has a moral and ethical obligation to get this message out to as many people as possible as quickly as possible. The Bible says “for lack of knowledge my people perish,” and with 990,000 deaths per year from our current medical system – nearly three thousand people dying unnecessarily every day – time is of the essence.”
“We have more cancer than any other country, with the death rate each year claiming 1 out of 3 lives,” Yachter writes. “Heart disease is also greatest in numbers here, claiming 1 out of every 2 lives each year. While the U.S. population consists of only 5% of the world’s population, we consume more than 75% of all the prescription and over-the-counter drugs on planet Earth. With our country having the greatest technology, the best hospitals and doctors, and considered a world superpower, why is it that now more than ever we are witnessing the development of more illness and disease?”
“Most people need to see change and they need it now,” says Dr. Yachter. “It’s urgent for a lot of people to get well. I see that when they come into my office. I want to start by creating a resource for them so they can implement a simple and clear plan-of-action. Most of these people have issues with diabetes, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, cholesterol, overweight and depression. Born A Champion takes them to the core of what they need to do to address and heal these problems, while recognizing that every person is different, responds differently and requires a unique approach to their individual needs,” Yachter says.
“Medical doctors are not treating the causes of illness – they’re treating symptoms that lie on top of people’s core issues; and the excessive number of pills they prescribe don’t resolve these issues – they hide them,” asserts the author. “Actually, in many cases, they perpetuate and worsen chronic diseases like diabetes, and trigger deadly diseases like cancer,” he says.
“What’s astounding is that few physicians are willing to take the time sit down with their patients and expound on how to really get well. It doesn’t pay for a physician to sit down today and have a seminar, class or consultation on getting to the cause of a problem; and the other thing is that they don’t believe in their patients and their ability to have the discipline to get well. That really bothers me because I see hope in people’s eyes, and a willingness by many of them to restore their health to wholeness.
“We know the reasons why – it comes down to dollars and cents,” Dr. Yachter says, adding that “the way the healthcare system is set up, doctors have to go by parameters established by the insurance codes, and most of the services for consultation for nutrition, wellness or exercise are not really billable codes.”
BORN A CHAMPION is divided into four sections, or parts.
Part1
"From Above Down: Healthy Mind for a Healthy Body"
Chapter 1 speaks to the importance of Discipline (“Discipline is Freedom”), urging the reader to take on at least one healthy daily ritual such as exercise, eating a salad for lunch, or finding quiet time in the day. The chapter also recommends taking charge of one’s own life: “Commit NOW to becoming a master at living a principled lifestyle.” The author also suggests becoming a mentor, encouraging others to be the best they can be. He contends that this is a positive, transformative act on the part of the one who mentors.
Chapter 2, “Positive Programming,” speaks to the need for mastery of one’s own thoughts, and moving from a negative mindset to programming first, positive belief in one’s vision; second, positive thoughts; third, positive language and actions; and fourth, intending positive results without worrying about the outcome. “Enjoy playing the game,” writes Dr. Yachter.
Chapter 3, “Planning for Success,” recommends that people put their dreams and goals down in writing, as the start of the manifestation process. “Success in life doesn’t happen by hope or chance, it is something that must be PLANNED,” he writes.
Chapter 4, “Mission Mindedness,” calls upon the idea of service. “Whatever your career, business or mission in life may be,” writes Dr. Yachter, “having a servant’s heart is really the key to unlocking the vault to overwhelming success and joy in all areas of one’s life.”
Chapter 5, “Letting Go Of Fear,” addresses a perspective on fear that can serve as the fuel to overcoming obstacles, and the emergence of courage as the ingredient that can overcome fear.
Dr. Yachter states unequivocally: “Any time I have ever had a patient present to me with ANY DISEASE of ANY KIND, I have always been able to trace it back to spinal damage and nerve blockage AT THE EXACT LEVEL of the spine where the nerves exit to feed that organ or part of the body.”
The author writes: “Infrared thermal spinal scanning technology, along with digital x-rays enable us to detect any blockage, damage or pinching of the nerves that exit from the spine….Whether the condition is high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, radiating neck and back pain with sciatica, or thyroid disease, the neurological testing that is done will determine the presence of vertebral subluxation that has caused or precipitated that disease. Once confirmed, the x-rays are analyzed, thoroughly studied, and the patient is then recommended a course of corrective care. Gentle, specific chiropractic adjustments are given to correct vertebral alignment and restore proper nerve supply to all damaged tissues and organs.”
Dr. David Yachter has seen reversals of patients with cancer, using an integrative approach. “Cancer is the result of a weak immune system,” he says. “Our approach is to boost the immune system with proper nutrition, oxygenation to the nerve supply, removing and reducing stress.”
He has reversed patients with diabetic conditions. “The initial approach,” he says, “is to ensure the proper nerve supply to the pancreas and metabolic organs, to remove all grains, especially refined process grains – even healthy grains in the first few weeks, restoring normal function to cells and helping to stabilize cells by reducing leptin resistance and insulin resistance. I have seen patients literally stabilize their blood sugar within days.”
BORN A CHAMPION concludes with a chapter entitled, “Patients Speak Out,” testimonials from grateful patients with accounts of how their lives were transformed, first to good health, and then to optimal health, under Dr. Yachter’s care at Champion Chiropractic.
